How to get Fishing Rod and Supplies in Runescape

Grab a Fishing Rod!

If you want a Fishing Rod and various other Fishing Supplies in Runescape, you must visit a Fishing Shop. You can find Fishing Shops in various cities across Runescape. Most major towns, such as Lumbridge, will sell Fishing Rods and various supplies at Fishing Shops. One such Fishing Shop is the one located in Port Sarim. You can find Port Sarim by heading west of Lumbridge. At Port Sarim, a man called Gerrant will sell various Fishing supplies and Fishing Rods.

That said, you can find Gerrant selling his items at his Fishing Store. To find his Fishing Store at Port Sarim, look for a Fishing Rod icon on the map, head inside his store, and speak to Gerrant. When speaking to Gerrant, choose the option Trade with Gerrant. Doing so will open a trade menu, where you can purchase the following items from Gerrant:

  • Small Fishing net
  • Various raw fish
  • Crayfish Cage
  • Fishing Rods
  • Bait

If you have enough gold, you can purchase a Fishing Rod and any supplies you may need for Fishing in Runescape. Once you get a Fishing Rod, you can use it for Fishing if you have some Fishing Bait.

How to use a Fishing Rod in Runescape

Once you have a Fishing Rod in Runescape, you can use it to catch various kinds of fish. But before you can fish using a Fishing Rod, you must level your Fishing skill to level five. You can level your Fishing skill by using other forms of Fishing, such as nets and cages.
