Dredge – Release date, platforms, cosmic horror fishing, and more!

What will you discover in the depths?

Dredge is a single-player fishing RPG by developer Black Salt Games and publisher Team17. Take on the role of a fishing boat captain as you sail a dangerous sea. Catch fish, upgrade your boat, and navigate the horrors that wait for you in the archipelago. Those who participated in the Steam Next Fest could try out a demo, but there isn't a long wait until Dredge releases.

Dredge is a cosmic horror fishing game where you play the role of a captain of a fishing trawler. The ocean's surface hides more than riches to be found, as dark and deadly creatures call the depths their home. Explore the mysterious Marrows and uncover long-buried secrets as you try to earn a living and stay alive.

What is the release date for Dredge?

What platforms will Dredge be on?

Dredge is planned to be a multiplatform release and will be available on nearly all platforms. Here is where you can play Dredge.

Is Dredge multiplayer?

Dredge is a single-player title; currently, there are no plans for multiplayer. The PC version may receive mods that implement multiplayer, or Black Salt Game may add this later. However, this would be speculation as there is no confirmation of this.

Is Dredge a fishing game?

Dredge is a fishing game where you play as the captain of a fishing trawler. There are over 125 fish to catch throughout the mysterious islands of The Marrows. As you progress, you can upgrade your ship to fish in deeper waters. Be careful of fishing at night, though, or you may find something that catches you instead.

Is there combat in Dredge?

While there are unimaginable dangers in Dredge, combat is more of a game of survival. You will have to navigate rocks, fog, underwater horrors, and more in Dredge. You must upgrade your ship and hone your sailing abilities to survive what lurks in The Marrows.

Does Dredge have controller support on PC?

Dredge is releasing on PC and consoles but will support controllers on PC. This allows you to choose whether to use a mouse and keyboard or stick with a controller. We don't yet know if controls can be remapped, but this will provide more freedom with how you play.

Is Dredge on Game Pass

At the time of writing, there are no plans to put Dredge on Game Pass. This means you will need to purchase the if you wish to play Dredge. If Dredge does release on Game Pass, we will update this guide for more information.
