If you're a fan of Starfield, you're either a patient person or you just love the idea of playing the game, eventually. This is one of those games you'll talk to your grandkids about how you've almost played it, as it was repeatedly delayed. But who knows, we may have a definite Starfield release date!
The long-awaited game was supposed to be available to fans in the first half of 2023, but that was quickly changed. Instead, the official Starfield launch date is September 6, 2023. While this is yet another delay, there is some good news!
Firstly, Bethesda has announced that Starfield Direct for June 11, 2023. The event is planned for after the Xbox Games Showcase on the same day. This means you'll finally have a chance to play "Skyrim in space" this year unless Bethesda delays Starfied yet again. At this point, we just hope Starfield is a "very unique experience," to quote game director Todd Howard. We also hope it can run better than 30 FPS. So, no pressure!
Until June, you can take a sneak peek into the game and listen to what Howard says about its development. You can always play Skyrim, Fallout 76, or Oblivion to make the wait more bearable.
