New Game Modes

  • Massive Resurgence (launch): The respawn-enabled resurgence mode from Ashika Island, but on the large-scale Al Mazrah map and with 150 players.
  • Plunder (in-season): Although it should've been in the game since launch, Plunder is finally being introduced with the Season 3 update. This game mode is great for leveling up guns and having some casual fun for players who don't own Modern Warfare 2.
  • Warzone Ranked Trios (in-season): Compete with players of the same caliber as you and climb the leaderboards, just like MW2 Ranked Play.

    • Tempered Plate Carriers that only require two plates instead of three standard ones.
    • UAV Towers like the ones featured in DMZ.
    • A new Gulag map called Blacksite will be playable.
  • With the mid-seasonal update
    • Decontamination Station field upgrade that works like the PDS from Caldera.
    • Perk Packages will also be obtainable as world loot and from Buy Stations.
    • Deployable Buy Station field upgrade that can be used to call in a shop.
    • Gulag Entry Kit that gives you an additional entry ticket to the 1v1 arena.

Besides these changes, players will also get to see new operators, weapons, battle pass, and cosmetic bundles with the Season 3 update. Furthermore, the new Recruit A Friend referral feature will grant you weapon blueprints, XP tokens, and other rewards if you invite a new player to Warzone 2.
