How to unlock Jobs in Yakuza: Like A Dragon

Each character in Yakuza Like A Dragon has a few job classes available to them that offer several unique benefits that suit several different playstyles. However, you won't be able to switch from the jobs characters start with until the middle portion of Chapter 5. You will also have to complete a few extra steps to unlock specific jobs. How to unlock more Jobs in Chapter 5

In short, to unlock jobs in Yakuza Like A Dragon, you have to progress to the point where the option opens up around the start of Chapter 5. At this point, you will have to return to Hello work and speak to the Director; when you talk to him, a cutscene will play, and after it, you will be able to access the option to switch jobs by speaking to him again. However, before you can switch and unlock new jobs, you must meet the requirements listed below.

  • For Ichiban
    • Base Level
    • Personality
  • For Everyone else
    • Base level
    • Bond level

To start, most jobs are already restricted to female and male characters, but on top of these restrictions, there are also personality requirements such as Ichi's Foreman job requiring a higher charisma personality level.

On top of this, you also have to increase your bond level with some of your party members before you can switch them to specific jobs; for example, changing Nanba to the Chef job will require a level 2 bond on top of reaching level 15.
