The Adventure Escape Mysteries series of free mobile games are hugely popular, with Detective Kate Gray being one of its most popular heroes. She returns here in The Echo Bay Murders to solve another mystery, with the player controlling her as she investigates a variety of crime scenes. Point-and-click around each screen to unearth clues and solve puzzles, putting items together to unveil the story. AE Mysteries Echo Bay Murders Walkthrough (Chapter One)
Our story begins with Kate heading to a small town called Echo Bay to meet up with an old friend, Darius, an investigative journalist. Several women have gone missing there over a 10-year period, and the similarities in the cases lead Darius to believe they may be connected. Is it a pattern that could mean a serial killer, or a strange set of coincidences? Playing as Kate, you’re charged with helping the local police in looking into it.
Once at the Fuel Stop, talk to the witness, Mila (1a). She’ll tell you the woman went into the bathroom and didn’t return. The only other bathroom key is locked in the garage, and she doesn’t have the access code. Once you’ve spoken to her, she’ll move to reveal the Garage Keypad. Click it to see that a button is missing.
Pick up the Brush from the floor (1b), and the Keypad Button from the trash can (1c), then click on the missing woman’s car door (1d) to see that you need to remove mud from it. Look at the Echo Bay Fuel Stop sign and notice the letters CYEO are faulty and flashing. Click on the garage door and you’ll see the letters relate to numbers on the pad. Add the keypad button, then press 1925 to open the garage door.

Click the Step Ladder (2a) to pick it up and then the bottom draw of the Blue Cabinet (2b) to get the Fuse. Note that the cable on the floor is too short to be plugged in and that the power panel is sealed tight. Click on the lock on the Red Cupboard (2c) to begin a colored ball puzzle. This takes a bit of time, but there is no right answer and you can’t make a wrong move. It does help if you put the green balls onto the small green cogs first. Once solved, open the cupboard and take the Spare Keys. Go back outside and use the spare keys to enter the Bathroom.
Add the Brush to the Broom Handle (3a) to get the Broom and use it on the glass (3b) to reveal (and take) the Small Key. Take the Rag from the blue bucket (3c) and use it with the sink to get a Damp Rag. Look at the piece of rag caught on the broken window (3d), then use the step ladder to get the Torn Clothing evidence and the Driver’s License evidence from the pink purse. In the purse, you’ll also find a piece of paper with the numbers 39072 83516 50401 on it. There are two cards inside too: Sky Points (57402 61983 12/14) and World Card (10243 78692 50398 11/23). Open the toilet cubicle door and click the toilet lid to take the Uncharged Phone.
Echo Bay Chapter 1: Opening the Car
Back outside, use the damp rag on the car door to reveal a keypad. It needs you to press five keys in the correct order to open it. The order is 83516 (one of the numbers you found on the piece of paper in the pink purse). Click the car door to look inside, get the USB Cable, attach it to the USB port in the car between the seats, then attach the phone (leave it to charge for now). Use the small key to open the glove compartment and take a second Fuse. Also click the small button in the glove compartment, which pops the trunk. Note the fuse panel next to the steering wheel is screwed tight. You can also beep the horn if it makes you happy!
Take the extension cord from the car trunk and use it in the garage to connect the Autolift (2d). Use it to lower the car, allowing you access to the panel behind it on the wall (2e) where you can take the Screwdriver and Duct Tape. Go back to the car and use the screwdriver on the panel by the steering wheel to get a third Fuse.
Now use the screwdriver on the panel in the garage (2f) and put the three fuses in, to start a colored spark puzzle. Move blue (left then up), pink (right), blue (down), pink (left and home), blue (up, right, down), orange (left), blue (up), orange (right), green (right and home), blue (right and home), orange (right and home). Completing this then lights up the back office (2g). Click it to get a close-up of a monitor and use the duct tape to fix the faulty wire. You now have access to the security footage.

To get the correct piece of footage, you need to know the exact time the victim arrived at the garage. The calendar on the wall of the garage (2e) gives you March 7-13, 2021 with the calendar week running from Sunday. Go back to the car, where the phone is now charged. Pick it up then examine it to find that tomorrow was Tuesday, so it must be Monday. And a message saying she was there (presumably the gas station) now, at 6.45 pm. This gives you 18.45, 3-8-2021.
Enter this into the security monitor at the back of the garage, click search, and watch the footage. This gives you Footage of the suspect. All that’s left is to enjoy the cut scene which concludes chapter one.
