How to change difficulty In Bravely Default 2

Game too hard? Choose the wrong setting? Here's how to fix it and more

Sometimes increasing or picking a specific difficulty can be a mistake, and you might want to change it after the fact; here's where you can find the option in Bravely Default 2 and how to use it.

How to change the difficulty setting in Bravely Default 2

To change difficulty in Bravely Default 2, you will need to reach the point in the game where the menu and its options become unlocked.

This point is where you wake up in an Inn and later receive a map from the Innkeeper. After this, the menu will become unlocked, and you can then press X to bring it up.

Once at the menu, use the d-pad to move all way down the menu options list and click the one that says options. When you have done so, another menu will open up, and you will need to click the menu tab that says settings.

Afterward, a menu containing all of the game options will appear, and you will need to scroll down all the way to the bottom to find the one that changes the difficulty in Bravely Default 2.

When you find it, use either the d-pad or analog sticks on the joy-con controller to change the difficulty to whatever is your desired setting.

You have a total of three options difficulty, here are what they are.

  • Casual: Choose this if you want the game to be really easy.
  • Normal: Best middle-ground for turn-based vets and newbies alike.
  • Hard: Choose this option if you want a challenging game experience.
