Best Smoke Spots on Anubis in CS: GO

Anubis is one of the newest maps in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and will be part of the active duty map pool. Smokes are a vital piece of any strategy in the game. Players must study every map with different smoke spots and angles to play effectively. This article will discuss some of the best smoke spots on Anubis in CS: GO.

Where to throw smoke grenades on Anubis in CS: GO?

When looking at where to throw smoke grenades on Anubis in CS: GO, you first need to keep in mind where are the places that the opposing teams will clash. On the Anubis map, these areas are A and B sites, Middle and the Connector.

Before joining Matchmaking, we advise you to start your private server and practice all the smokes from this guide. It will help you play against the living players and make the game enjoyable for you and your teammates.

T-spawn

Middle Smoke

There is a basic smoke throw if you need to cover mid while on the T side. All you have to do is go to the green door’s shade, align your crosshair from this wall, and aim it upwards until you reach the corner of the house entrance. Do a jump throw, and the smoke will perfectly cover the middle, so you can delay the CT from pushing from that direction.

Connector

The connector is one of the essential flanking positions to cover if you’re on the T side. It gives access to the B-site and prevents them from circling behind you in the arches. Stand between the truck and the building with the green door to cover the connector. Aim for the same corner of the house you would use to throw the mid-smoke. Do a jump-throw. If done correctly, the smoke will perfectly land in the connector’s door and cover the entire door preventing the push and peek from the CT.

A-site from Boat

Sniper Point in Heaven

If your team calls to go to A, “Heaven” is the most vital spot to cover. To cover this part:

1. Go into the corner with jumpable platforms.
2. From there, look up to the vertical crack in the masonry.
3. Go down with your mouse until reaching the point described in the image above.
4. Start walking until your mouse cursor hits the line where the hieroglyphs are, and release. If done correctly, Heaven is now covered, and you can storm in to take the A-site.

This spot is usually where CT snipers are camping because they have a perfect look at the site.

Heaven Stairs

If you want to cover the Heaven, look for the two baskets on the left side of the area (if you’re looking at the two doors going to A-site). Align your crosshair on the edge of the middle pillar. Once you’ve aligned your crosshair, aim a bit higher at the top of the window and do a basic throw. If you’ve done this correctly, the smoke will cover the entrance of Heaven, providing a screen to your A-site take.

Walkway

We have talked about the screen on Sniper and Heaven. Now let’s talk about completely covering the entrance with smoke. You must jump on the platforms reaching the Boat to cover the Walkway. Aim at the lower left side of the window, where you can almost see the Walkway. Go three clicks up and release. If done correctly, the smoke will drop on the Walkway, and if done with the Heaven and Sniper smokes, the whole entrance of A will now be covered with smoke.

B-site from Ruins

B Long

If you go to B-site and need to cover the Long for quick entry, position yourself against the first pillar next to the stairs. Look for the crack between the first and second pillars. Align your aim with the third nub and do a standard throw. If you do this correctly, the grenade will bounce into one of the walls inside B-site and land in the alley, covering B Long. It will cover the line of sight from the wall's other side so you can safely enter the B-site.

B Temple

For this, you will want to cover the B-site completely. Once you’ve done the Alley smoke, take the same position with your back against the first pillar. Put yourself in the corner of the wall and look directly above. Instead of aiming for the third nub from the left, aim between the first and the second nub in the area between the second and the third pillar, going a click up with the aim. Do a standard throw, smoking the B Temple.
