Dragon's Dogma 2 The Nameless Village quest - Full Walkthrough

As part of your main questline, Brant tasked you with exploring the Nameless Village, and it's got a sketchy vibe from the get-go. A random character right outside warns you that something's off. Well, the name (or lack of it) was our first hint, right? Now it's your turn to explore around, looking for clues.

Exploring the Nameless Village

Your mission is to poke around the village houses for clues. You'll find a letter in Darragh's home mentioning the word "brass" in a strange context. That's your lead. Follow it to the Hilltop Manor, where you'll meet the Thief-Maister, who will then inform you that "brass" refers to imitating someone. As you are still missing full context, you have to keep looking.

A Hint from Rosy

While you're scratching your head about what to do next, you'll notice Rosy, a local Beastren, tailing you. When you confront her, she drops a hint: “Try doing to someone else what I just did to you.” So, you gotta play the follow-the-leader game with the villagers, but it's tricky because the game's hints are super subtle. Personally, I didn't have much luck doing so; the way I made progress was by fluke.

A Light in the Dark

The big moment happens at night by the Hilltop Manor. Some fireflies will show you a secret entrance. Down there, you've got two parkour challenges. They're not too tough if you time your jumps right. Just leap when the planks are at their highest.

After you ace the parkour, go through the wooden door at the end of the course. The villagers will give you props, and the Thief-Maister hands over a bill of arrest for a Darragh lookalike. Additionally, you will also pick up premium equipment as well as the following tomes:

  • Pilferer's Handbook
  • Legend's Opus

Using these scrolls, you will learn new skills for the Thief Vocation, taking it to the next level if you are maining Thief. After finishing up, take this back to Captain Brent in Vernsworth, and you're all set.
