How to end chases in Dying Light 2

Here's how to stop zombies that are chasing you.

To end chases in Dying Light 2, you will either need to get to a UV Light location or hide long enough for the pursing Infected to forget about you.

That said, if you are going for the UV Light route for ending chases, you will need to head to a location marked with a purple sun icon. You can see these purple sun icons in the form of a waypoint when running around in the game.

The purple waypoint will also display on your compass at the top of your screenl (as shown above). You can also check to see where these UV Light locations are on the map. In short, you will need to look for something like what is shown in the image below.

This is one of the Nightrunner hideouts players can unlock in Dying Light 2, and it provides UV Light as one of the perks of unlocking it.

Because of this, it's a good idea to have at least one Nightrunner hideout unlocked in every region for when you get chased. Other UV Light locations include Faction Hubs, Windmills, and Trading posts.

These locations can also be found on the map, and if you hover over them, they will also indicate that they have UV Light. Head to these locations, and when you get inside the Light, the chase will stop.

If you are too far from any UV Light, your best option is to hide. While being chased, you can hide in areas such as grass, which are marked by an eye icon with a line in it. These grass areas can be found on top of various rooftops in the City.

If you want to use these grass locations, you will first need to put some distance between you and the pursuing infected. In short, hiding while Infected are close will not work, so you need to be far away to start hiding. Hide long enough, and you will stop the chase, similar to how UV Light locations work.
