How to explore Forsaken Stores and Dark Hollows in Dying Light 2

Here's how to explore Forsaken Stores and Dark Hollows in Dying Light 2.

To explore both Forsaken Stores and Dark Hollows, you will need to wait for nighttime in Dying Light 2. If you try exploring either location during the day, there will be higher levels of Infected sleeping inside both locations.

Because of this, it is more dangerous and not recommended to go snooping about in either Forsaken stores or Dark Hollows during the day. That said, wait for night to fall, and there will be a lot less of the Infected inside both location types.

You will also have a far easier time sneaking around Sleeping Biters while it is night in the game. But if it is currently day in your game, you can head to a safe zone or hideout and find a bed to change the time.

After the time changes from day to night, you will be free to head over to either a Forsaken Store or Dark Hollow. Once inside, use stealth and try not to get too close to any Sleeping Biters. Get too close, and you will risk waking them up, and if you are low level, this can quickly get out of hand.

Also, while exploring these locations, you may come in contact with a wandering Infected. You can avoid these Infected by using Hiding Spaces in the game.

These Hiding Spaces include tables, desks, and even grass, and using them will allow you to wait for enemies to move away, allowing you to avoid them.

Forsaken Stores vs. Dark Hollows in Dying Light 2

Both Forsaken Stores and Dark Hollows in Dying Light 2 serve as a source of loot and even XP for the player to farm and loot. Each location also holds different types of loot players can find. Forsaken Stores will hold various crafting parts that range from common to unique in rarity, while Dark Hollows primarily hold valuables you can sell.

Dark Hollows will also have more crystals you can gather to sell and are generally the best locations to farm for items to sell. On the other hand, Forsaken Stores are the best locations to farm for crafting parts to make anything from Weapon Mods, Arrows, Throwing Knives, and even Explosives.

Where to find Forsaken Stores and Dark Hollows in Dying Light 2

To find Forsaken Stores and Dark Hollows in Dying Light 2, you will need to search for their icons on the map. Both location types will use similar icons, but they are different if you look at them closely.

You can also further tell the difference by hovering over their icons. For example, the images above will show an example of both a Forsaken Store and Dark Hollow location.
