How to use Survivor Sense in Dying Light 2

Survival Sense is a way of highlighting things around the player that are useful for them. Lootable items, interactables, enemies, hiding places, and collectibles are all highlighted when using Survivor Sense and some may not show up without it. This is especially useful when using stealth or when trying to find elusive items of different rarities.

Determining Rarity

When using Survivor Sense, enemies are highlighted in red and everything else will show up in different colors. The rarity system is as follows:

  • White - Common items, weapons, crafting materials, and doors will display. A White Crossed Out Eye will display any places that Aiden can hide in.
  • Green - Uncommons.
  • Blue - Rares.
  • Purple - Uniques.
  • Orange/Gold - Artifacts.
  • Brown - A brown icon displays a collectible. These can be things like Tapes and Newspapers from the Old World.

When searching through areas with locked doors, the rarity system still applies but doesn't guarantee that the item inside will be of that matching rarity.
