Leaked: PS5 Dying Light 2 file size and preload date revealed

Preload a few days before release.

Dying Light 2 is releasing in 2022, after a myriad of delays from its initial launch window. Yet information has been leaked from Twitter account PlayStation Game Size that reveals the PS5 launch game size—without a day one patch—and when preloading comes available.

Dying Light PS5 File Size

Techland's sequel will be 21.099GB. Once again, this is without a day one patch. Due to PlayStation 5 compression technology, this is a rough estimate to be about half of what the size will be on other platforms—Xbox and PC.

Dying Light PS5 preload date

You can start preloading the open-world zombie slaying game Dying Light 2 on Feb. 4, 2022—two days before the official launch of the title. This isn't so bad since the file size on PS5 is pretty tiny compared to some other titles, so even those with weaker Internet connections should be able to preload the game before the release.

There is no information on the file size of the day one patch if one comes at all. So best to preload the title in case the day one patch is quite substantial.
