Saber Interactive, a developer known for building multiplayer worlds, heads the video game adaptation of the cult classic horror series Evil Dead. However, contrary to popular belief, Evil Dead: The Game does have a single-player mode, meaning you can get your Boomstick on without having to recruit a whole band of survivors in its online multiplayer mode.
This was announced shortly after Saber Interactive delayed the game to May 13, 2022. Speaking via its Twitter handle, the gore-loving studio announced that it would be devoting more time to building its single-player experience, among other things that tied in with its core gameplay.
While the game is coined as an online multiplayer experience with a harsh focus on PvP, the fact is, you can indeed embark on the journey as a lone wolf without the optional compadres to boot. So, expect plenty of offline encounters as one of the many familiar faces from the universally acclaimed Evil Dead franchise.
Evil Dead: The Game is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
