All stats in Forspoken and what they mean

You're a wizard, Frey!

Forspoken is an action game rooted in a fantasy world with a strong RPG element present. When you start playing, the game will throw a lot of numbers at you without much explanation of what each stat does and why it's important for gameplay. While some are pretty straightforward, like Health and Stamina, Magic and its various colors are a bit vaguer.

All Forspoken stats explained

Health

This stat represents Frey's overall health points. They represent the total amount of damage she can take before she dies.

Stamina

Stamina impacts the usage of evasion and Magic Parkour in the game. More points in this stat mean Frey can run in Magic Parkour for longer periods of time and can also evade more enemy attacks.

Defense

Defense represents damage resistance in Forspoken. Defense points determine Frey's resistance to damage from enemies. The more points she has in this stat, the more impervious to all damage she becomes.

Healing

Healing determines the amount of health restored when Frey uses a healing effect from equipment or a Healing Draught. More points in this stat mean Frey gets her health bar up quicker.

Red Magic

Points in the Red Magic stat increase the power of Frey's Red Magic. More points here mean that her fire-based Red Magic powers are more potent and damaging.

Green Magic

How to increase your Stats in Forspoken

Forspoken may be an RPG game at its heart, but it doesn't give players the standard approach using skill trees and progressions. You will need to obtain equipment like Cloaks and Necklaces, with which you can upgrade some of your stats via the crafting system.

  • Health: you can upgrade Frey's Health by getting the Vivify spell and using materials to increase her Health stat on necklaces.
  • Defense: spend Mana on Fortify spell in the Blue Magic tree to increase Frey's Defense on Hooded Cloak and Necklace.
  • Magic: the way to upgrade all four Magic stats is to get Amplify spell in the Red Magic tree. This spell will allow you to increase the Magic stat on your Hooded Cloak.

All stats can be increased by completing points of interest on the map. All map markers with a pink symbol above the marker, with two arrows pointing upwards, are a stat increase. Going there and completing the objective will earn you a stat increase, but you won't know what until you get it.

As you progress in the main storyline of Forspoken, you will have to upgrade and craft your equipment. Feathers are a rare resource that increases your capacity to carry spare materials with you. This is essential for increasing your stats in the long run.
