In Fortnite, players get to use various mythic weapons to get an edge over opponents in combat. Deku's Smash and Goku's Kamehameha are now available in the game, and these two anime mythics can be difficult to defend against. However, players can use a few items to defend against and counter these mythics tactically. Here's how to counter Deku's Smash and Kamehameha in Fortnite.
How to defend against Kamehameha and Deku's Smash anime mythics in Fortnite
The Kamehameha and Deku's Smash are two of the strongest mythic weapons in Fortnite, but there are a few ways to defend against them. One of the easiest methods to avoid these mythics is to use the Shockwave Hammer to escape the location. Similarly, players can use the Guardian Shield to withstand the impact of both the Kamehameha and Deku's Smash. Hold up the Guardian Shield right before the opponent fires their mythic weapon. Start pre-firing or rush the opponent as soon as the mythic weapon's impact ends.

Defending against these anime mythics is all about timing. These two mythics require opponents to be static in mid-air for a while, allowing players to shoot at them easily. Use weapons like the Red-Eye Assault Rifle or DMR to get a few shots before putting up the Guardian Shield. There are various methods to defend against these anime mythics, and using the Guardian Shield is one of the most effective counters.
Players can also take advantage of the Reality Augment system while fighting opponents who use Kamehameha and Deku's Smash. For instance, the Aerialist perk allows players to rotate away quickly by opening their glider. Likewise, players can travel a long distance just by sliding with the Icy Slide Augment. Similarly, with the Party Time perk, players can gain a height advantage over their opponents by flying with balloons. Combine these different perks to stay a step ahead of opponents during combat.
