Why are Hand Forged and Conjure Weapon emotes disabled?

Epic Games disabled Hand Forged, Conjure Weapon, and several other emotes in Fortnite that change or swap the player's pickaxe due to an issue that popped up in update v24.20. The developers didn't go into much detail about the issues being caused by these emotes other than it causing a stability issue within Fortnite. There's currently no timetable for the return of these emotes.

The good thing is that emotes are typically most used at a match's beginning or end, so players shouldn't miss these too much. The complete list of disabled emotes includes the following, according to prominent Fortnite leaker FireMonkey.

  • Chrome Conjurer
  • Digitized
  • Bench Upgrade
  • Blade Breaker
  • Snikt! Snikt!
  • Encrypted "Fearless Flight" Emote
  • Encrypted "Frozen Reality" Emote
  • Snikt!
  • Assassin's Strike
  • Viking War Cry
  • Conjure Weapon
  • Get Flakey
  • Hand-Forged

What changes did Fortnite v24.20 bring?

Outside of the new content added to the game, mainly the addition of Attack on Titan character Eren Jaeger, there have been some changes to the storm. Epic announced the storm will move as it closes across all of its Battle Royale modes. This means players will have to adjust accordingly and won't simply be able to turtle up and predict where the storm will ultimately close.

On top of that, new Attack on Titan items have been added in Fortnite like Thunder Spears. These let players live out their fantasies from the hit anime, and they'll most likely be sticking around until the end of the season.
