Genshin Impact to bring back Hangout events in upcoming V3.5

Faruzan fans will be happy to hear that the four-star Haravatat scholar will be getting a Hangout event in Version 3.5. This marks the first Genshin Impact Hangout event since Shikanoin Heizou's in Version 2.8.

Hangouts are essential sources of lore for Genshin Impact's cast of four-star characters, most of whom aren't granted the luxury of Story Chapters. These consist of dialogue routes that lead to around six endlessly replayable endings. While the game has introduced plenty of four-star friends in the past year, developer HoYoverse's focus on deploying explorable content in Sumeru placed Hangouts at the bottom of their priorities.

Hangouts have been rather polarizing content in the game, as with Story Chapters. Not all players are keen on experiencing dialogue over and over again, which caters more to lovers of character development. Regardless, the upcoming release of Madame Faruzan's Hangout could signal a flare to bring four-star characters back into action.

Other Sumeru four stars who could expect Hangouts in the future include Collei, Dori, Candace, and Layla. However, not everyone from the first three nations has been granted a coveted Hangout event. Kujou Sara has notoriously avoided hanging out with the Traveler, while older four stars, such as Lisa and Xingqiu, were given rare Story Chapters instead. It's unclear how Genshin Impact plans to cram all of these Hangouts leading up to Fontaine's expected release in Version 4.0, but players can stay tuned for updates.
