A leak posted by reliable leaker @projectcelestia on Twitter details a new Ascension item called the Nagadus Emerald Gem, presumably either in the Version 2.7 release files or the Version 2.8 beta files. This is believed to be a Dendro Ascension material and is likely the first of many that will release starting from Version 3.0.
Based on the leak, the material may be dropped by a Normal Boss called the Jade-Plumed Terrorshroom. While no images have been released of this mysterious enemy, its name suggests that players may expect to battle against a formidable fungus.

Genshin Impact has been on a shroom frenzy since The Chasm's release, featuring a giant mushroom named Xamaran in a World Quest called The Dimming Mushroom's Call for Help. The appearance of various kinds of mushrooms in the Underground Mine could be due to the area's possible ancient connection with Sumeru. In the Mycological Investigation in The Chasm, researcher Khedive proclaimed that Starshrooms are oddly similar to indigenous species from Sumeru, save for their mutated glow.
The local Floating Hydro Fungi that live in the Underground Mines are living testaments to the variety of mushroom species in Teyvat. Given the strong connection between Sumeru, fungi, and the Dendro Element, it's possible for players to encounter even more mushroom-themed enemies, collectibles, and environments in the long-awaited region—starting from the Jade-Plumed Terrorshroom.
Version 3.0 is expected to drop directly after Version 2.8 on around Aug. 25, 2022. It's alleged to introduce the nation of wisdom, Sumeru, the Dendro Element, and a new cast of characters that players can get to know and love.
