How to solve the Luxurious Chest Starlight Coalescence puzzle in Genshin Impact

Starlight Coalescences can be collected from the Minacious Isle during Genshin Impact's Summertime Odyssey event, which runs from July 15, 2022, to Aug. 24, 2022. These are Quest Items used to solve various puzzles on the island. Remember that you must complete the quest portion of The Ancient Azure Stars to unlock Starlight Coalescences and their corresponding puzzles.

You can collect 18 Starlight Coalescences in Minacious Isle, but three are tucked away inside a hidden portal. If you find your way inside, you can score yourself a Luxurious Chest on top of three little stars. There are two ways to solve this puzzle—choose whichever is most convenient for you.

How to solve the Luxurious Chest Starlight Coalescence puzzle in the Minacious Isle in Genshin Impact

There are two ways to solve this puzzle in the Minacious Isle in the past or present. Use the Place in Water feature to switch between the two versions and choose the one you prefer. You may need to turn off the rain to spawn wind currents to enter the hidden portals. We provide two methods below but please only choose one as both portals lead to the same destination.

Method #1: Minacious Isle present form

Head to the area circled in the image above to find an Elemental Monument puzzle. If there is a star above any of the Monuments before starting the puzzle, you need to reset the puzzle first. Scroll down this guide to find out how.

When the puzzle is reset, you need to activate the Elemental Monuments in this exact order:

1. Pyro
2. Anemo
3. Cryo
4. Hydro

This will spawn a portal in the sky. If it's raining, turn off the rain to summon a wind current to propel you upward and enter the portal. Inside the portal, you will see three Starlight Coalesences and one Luxurious Chest.

Method #2: Minacious Isle past form

Head to the area circled in the image above to find an Elemental Monument puzzle. If there is a star above any of the Monuments before starting the puzzle, you need to reset the puzzle first. Scroll down this guide to find out how.

When the puzzle is reset, you need to activate the Elemental Monuments in this exact order:

1. Pyro
2. Anemo
3. Cryo
4. Hydro

Like before, this will spawn a portal in the sky. If it's raining, turn off the rain to summon a wind current. If foggy, turn on Pyro, then Anemo to clear up the weather and summon a wind current to propel you upward and enter the portal. Inside the portal, you will see three Starlight Coalesences and one Luxurious Chest.

How to reset the Elemental Monuments in the Minacious Isle in Genshin Impact

If you're having trouble resetting the Elemental Monuments, here's a quick trick. A star will appear above the Elemental Monuments you activate. Let's say you activate a Pyro Monument and wish to reset the puzzle.

The Pyro Monument will have a star above it, so activate a random Monument (in the example above, we used Cryo). The Cryo Monument will turn on and have a star above it, while the Pyro Monument will turn off but still have a star above it. So simply activate the Pyro Monument again to cancel out both stars and reset the puzzle. You may need to do this a few times.
