All Chest locations in the Golden Apple Archipelago – Genshin Impact Summertime Odyssey event

The Golden Apple Archipelago is back for Genshin Impact's Summertime Odyssey event, which runs from July 15, 2022, to Aug. 24, 2022. The event features a limited exploration area where you can unlock Teleport Waypoints, collect Treasure Chests, and complete puzzles within the event period.

Read on to find out where to find all the Chests in the Golden Apple Archipelago. Since the islands gradually expand with new mechanics throughout the event period, consider bookmarking this page and checking back for updates every few days!

How to unlock the Golden Apple Archipelago in Genshin Impact

To visit the summer islands, you need to meet the following prerequisites:

• Reach Adventure Rank 32 or above
• Complete the Archon Quest Chapter II: Prologue - Autumn Winds, Scarlet Leaves
• Mona's Story Quest, the Astrolabos Chapter: Act I - Beyond This World's Stars, is optional. During the event period, the required level to complete the quest is reduced to AR 32.

Once you meet all the above requirements, you'll automatically get an Event Quest called The Golden Apple Vacation Returns! But if you choose not to complete Mona's Story Quest, head to the event menu, select Summertime Odyssey, then click Quick Start to get the Event Quest. Following this quest will eventually take you to the Golden Apple Archipelago.

Below are all the Chests you can find in the summer islands, broken down by area. You can collect 23 Chests from the first day of the event onwards.

Broken Isle and Twinning Isle

Below are all the Chests you can find in the summer islands, broken down by area. You can collect 51 Chests (not including Kazuha's Mirage) from the event's second day. If you already collected all the Chests from the first day, you can reference the images below to find all the new ones that spawned on day two.

You can only collect all the Chests on Pudding Isle after completing all three parts of Kazuha's Mirage, As the Courtyard in Spring Once Appeared.

You'll have to rearrange Bonsai in Kazuha's island to spawn different Chests, puzzles, enemies, and more on Pudding Isle.

Broken Isle and Twinning Isle

All the Chests on Broken Isle and Twinning Isle are located in the areas marked with red stars above.

Minacious Isle

All the Chests on Minacious Isle are located in the areas marked with red stars above.

Pudding Isle

You can find all the Chests on Pudding Isle by rearranging the Bonsai below. Reference the Bonsai arrangements in each image to spawn the Chests or other activities that grant Chest rewards, all marked by red stars.

There are 43 Chests (not including Xinyan's Mirage) that can be collected from the third day of the event onwards. If you already collected all the Chests from the previous days, you can reference the images below to find all the new ones that spawned on day three.

All of these Chests are located in the Broken Isle and can only be looted after completing the quest segment of Xinyan's Mirage, Blazin' Trails!

You'll have to Change Mountain Style in Xinyan's island to spawn different Chests, puzzles, enemies, and more on the Broken Isle.

Broken Isle short mountain style

Reference the red and pink stars in the image above to find all the Chests in the Broken Isle when set to the short mountain style.

Broken Isle tall mountain style

Reference the red stars in the image above to find all the Chests in the Broken Isle when set to the tall mountain style. You can loot three Precious Chests and a Conch by completing a puzzle in this mountain style.

All Chest locations in the Golden Apple Archipelago in Genshin Impact Day 4

There are 27 Chests (not including Fischl's Mirage) that you can collect from the fourth day of the event onwards. If you already collected all the Chests from the previous days, you can reference the images below to find all the new ones that spawned on day four.

All of these Chests are located in the Broken Isle and can only be looted after completing all three parts of Fischl's Mirage, Immernachtreich Apokalypse.

Twinning Isle

Reference the red and pink stars in the image above to find all the Chests in the Twinning Isle after it has transformed into Immernachtreich. While there are 27 Chests on the island, 10 can be obtained just by completing the World Quest called Drama Phantasmagoria: Tale of the Sword-Wielding Princess!

There are 23 Chests (not including Mona's Mirage and World Quests) that you can collect from the fifth day of the event onwards. If you already collected all the Chests from the previous days, you can reference the images below to find all the new ones that spawned on day five.

All of these Chests are located in the Broken Isle and can only be looted after completing the quest segment of Mona's Mirage, The Ancient Azure Stars.

You need to use the Place in Water feature in the Minacious Isle to switch the topography of the island between past and present and spawn all the Chests in this guide.

World Quest and puzzle-exclusive Chests

Apart from the Chests from the Minacious Isle, you can also loot Chests from various World Quests and puzzles that unlock from day five onwards after completing the final Event Quest, Like Rhyme and Song, the Summer Reverie.

• Constellation Puzzle in the Minacious Isle

How to find Chests in the Golden Apple Archipelago in Genshin Impact

While some Chests are easy to find as they're just lying around the islands, some are a little trickier to spot. Upon heading to the Chest locations marked above, watch out for obstacles, such as Time Trial Challenges, Bloatty Floatties, and puzzles that could reward you with Chests. Meanwhile, any of the Chests located in the water can be reached using the Waverider.

The GAA islands have a unique gliding challenge indicator, which looks like a floating arrow pointing downward (see the first image above). Additionally, if you head to a Chest's location and find nothing, break the nearby objects as some Chests are hidden behind breakables.
