Throughout God of War, players have many side tasks that they can complete or miss out on. There are a total of 12 treasure maps spread across these different locations. We'll cover where exactly to find them and the following dig spots.
The Turtle's Tribute Map
Map Location: The River Pass
Players can find this treasure map in the lower level of the Witch's Cave in the River Pass. Instead of heading straight up the wooden bridge path, take the cave tunnel to the right that goes further down. Take the first blue bridge in front of the player and hook a left. Climb up the wooden wall painted with white symbols and it will be on the floor to the right.
Dig Location: Outside Witch's Cave
Climb up the cobbled tunnel and out of the Witch's Cave. Follow the path right. Shortly after jumping the log in the path, the treasure is buried near the cluster of boulders on the right side of the path.
Dead & Bloated Map
Map Location: Völunder Mines
This map can be found during or after the quest, Second Hand Soul. Take the path right of Brok's stall. Follow it until it opens up to a larger room and take the branching path right. Keep right around the bend. Take the chain down at the end of the path. It's next to the wooden wheel.
Dig Location: Cliffs of the Raven
From the boat dock, players can climb up the chain, follow the trail left. Once the player reaches the tied-down giant's body, they'll find the mound to the right of the body below the arm.
Kneel Before Thor! Map
Map Location: Landsuther Mines
Players can find this map during or after the quest, Deus Ex Malachite. Dock in Landsuther Canyon and follow the path inward then squeeze past the wooden structure. Follow the path up, head down to Brok's station, and continue on the path to the right of him going downward. Once the player reaches the room where the floor is broken, they should climb down into the hole. At the end of the path, take the elevator to the left. It'll be on the floor in this room.
Dig Location: Lookout Tower
After docking the boat at Lookout Tower, climb the stone wall to the left, then use the spinning statues to scale up the proceeding stone wall on the opposite side. Continue up a couple of stone walls before taking the zip line inside. The mound will be to the right of the double doors.
Don't Blink Map
Map Location: Fafnir's Storeroom
Players can find this map after the quest Fafnir's Hoard. After taking the elevator from the boat dock continue down the single path. Pass by Sindri, then take the path left into the forest. Climb up the short wall and pass under the waterfall. Follow it back until the player reaches the dead knight in the center of the stone wheel.
Dig Location: Foothills
Take the path up to the face in the mountains, then climb the stone wall to the left of the path. Turn left to find the mound on the edge of the path towards the mouth.

Njörd's Oarsmen Map
Map Location: Northri Stronghold
Players can find this map during or after the quest Family Business. Dock near the larger boat in the stronghold. Head into the broken side of this larger boat and the map is sitting beside a slumped-over body.
Dig Location: The Mason's Channel
After docking, climb up the stone wall to the right. Take the path across from the dwarf up the wall. Once climbed, take the path to the immediate right. Facing the larger statue, the mound is at the edge of the platform.
Creation Island Map
Map Location: Iron Cove
Dock on the leftmost beach of the cove, and the treasure map will be on the ground just past the large piece of pottery on the beach beside the crates and barrels.
Dig Location: Buri's Storeroom
Pass under the gate to the left after docking at the Storeroom. Follow the path, the mound will be between two of the giant boulders to the right.
Finder's Fee Map
Map Location: Forgotten Caverns
Dock beneath the dragon and take the route between the basalt columns. Keep left once the path opens up, it'll be sitting in front of a chest on the ground.
Dig Location: Northri Stronghold
This mound can be located during or after the Family Business quest. Continue past the large boat docking point and instead dock at the next spot near the broken bridge. Head toward the broken bridge and climb up the wooden ladder. The mound is to the right of the pottery.
The Boat Captain's Key Map
Map Location: Stone Falls
Dock near the open gates and take the path through the water wheel. Jump right then keep left and climb the chain. Go left and cross the bridge under the waterfall. The map will be left of the boulder near the center of this area.
Dig Location: Isle of Death
Dock near all the hanging platforms. Take the path to the right and climb up the wall on the left. Jump from this spot left and climb up further. Go out of the first opening and take a left to climb another wall. Walk to the beached half of a boat, the mound is at the bottom of the boat.
Island of Light Map
Map Location: The Mason's Channel
Dock near the two statues with crossed oars, this map will be to the player's immediate left.
Dig Location: Light Elf Outpost
After docking, head into the base of the tower and climb the first blue bridge up. Take a sharp right at the top of this bridge, jump the gap and go through the hole in the wall. Keep right and the mound will be at the edge of the balcony.
The Historian Map
Map Location: Ruins of the Ancient
After docking, pass under the giant black archway and the map is straight ahead.
Dig Location: Fafnir's Storeroom
Players visit this spot during the quest Fafnir's Storeroom. Take the elevator up after docking and follow the path. Keep right and crouch through the small passage. Pass the dwarf's station and under the toppled trees. Go through another crawlspace then keep left into the forest. Follow the path up to the fires, the mound will be beside the left fire.
Hunter's Kingdom
Map Location: Lookout Tower
Climb the first two stone walls after docking. Turn left at the top and take the chain down to find the map.
Dig Location: Veithurgard
Players must open the Golden Gate in Stone Falls to reach this area. Facing the large statue of the man on his throne, turn left. This mound is near the rocks.
The Last Place They'd Look Map
Map Location: The Mountain
From the Summit portal, climb further up the stairs to the platform with the tree. Head to the edge of this area and climb down the wall. Follow the snowy path toward the next cave. On the left side of this snowy path climb down the set of walls and through the large double doors. Keep right and hold to the wall. Follow the path back and down. Pass under the wooden structure and down the hole on the left. This map will be on the other side of the crawlspace.
Dig Location: Valkyrie's Council
Docking in the Mason's Channel players will need to climb the stone wall and follow the path into the open area. Then climb the set of walls to the right. Head through the large double doors follow the path and climb down the chain. Players can find the mound between two of the chairs.
