Best Hades mods!

Hades is a roguelike dungeon crawler that allows players to take control of Zagreus in his quest to reach the surface. The title is available on PC, meaning your game can be customized using mods. Hades has several mods available that can tweak gameplay, change playthroughs, and add different elements to the game.

The top mods for Hades can be found on Nexusmods and require some extra steps to install them. Here are the six best mods for Hades and how to install them:

Zagreus the Angler

The Zagreus the Angler mod tweaks the fishing mini-game to remove fake bobs, give more generous time to catch fish, and make the spawn rate of pools at least 50%, and they can occur one after another. The mod improves your ability to catch fish because the original system generates a lot of randomness and can cause you to miss out on rewards.

Loot Choice Extender

The Loot Choice Extender mod will extend the number of boons or loot when given options to choose. Normally in playthroughs, you will have three options, but with the Loot Choice Extender, you can choose how many options there are. By default, the mod will provide six choices for every loot menu. The mod will make playthroughs a little easier by allowing you more choices for your build.

Weapon Mastery

Most of the best mods for Hades tweak gameplay, however, one of the best mods does not affect gameplay but adds cosmetics and a new XP system. The Weapon Mastery mod adds a leveling system to each weapon but does not affect gameplay or weapon stats. Each run, the weapon used will gain XP based on kills. Gaining weapon levels adds new cosmetic effects to the weapons, including auras and on-kill effects. If you want a little more flair on your weapons but not affect gameplay, Weapon Mastery is a great mod choice.

The Generous Wretched Broker mod will allow you to purchase free items from the Wretched Broker. Normally, the Wretched Broker will exchange one item for another, but the items required are usually pretty valuable. With this mod, you can purchase anything from diamonds to Titan's Blood for free.

Ello's Starting Boon Selector

Sometimes during runs in Hades, you can get very unlucky with the choices of Boons. The first boon received can affect how the run goes and even what build you may want to lean towards. With the Ello's Starting Boon Selector mod, you can choose what boon you start with or randomize the run seed. You will still have to unlock Gods during playthroughs, but you will be able to start with their boons with the mod after you meet them.

Codex Menu

The Codex Menu mod expands the menu for the Codex, allowing you full control over spawning, unlocking areas, selecting boons, and more. If you want to fully customize a playthrough, you can do so with commands in the Codex Menu. You can use the Codex Menu during runs to change weapons, open secret areas, and manage boons. The menu also features a customized Mirror of Night, which allows you to change Darkness rewards.
