The Rescuing Rococo quest starts with Agnes Coffey who is located at Bainburgh. Rococo is a Niffler, and you must visit Henrietta's Hideaway to rescue him. The castle is located south of Bainburgh, check the yellow circle on the image above to see its exact location.

After starting the quest, visit the location and you'll find several Ashwinders guarding the area. Use Revelio to reveal their location. You can take them down quietly, or charge in with powerful spells to make quick work of these enemies.

After defeating them, head down to the underground area by taking the stairs next to the Merlin Trial. Check the image above to see the location of this staircase.

How to solve the first block puzzle in Rescuing Rococo in Hogwarts Legacy

In the first room, you'll face a block puzzle similar to the one in a Bird in the Hand quest. All you need to do is place these two blocks on the platforms with matching symbols and charge them up with a spell.

The fire-type block is hidden behind the statue on the left-hand side of the room. You need to use Confringo or Incendio on the bowl in front of the statue to reveal the fire-type block. Check the arrow in the image above to see exactly where to use the spell.

Once it's out, use the Accio or Alohomora spell to bring it to the fire-symbol platform on the ground. Place it next to the other box as shown in the image above.

Now use Confringo or Incendio on the fire-type box, and use Glacius on the other purple colored box. This will automatically open a door on the wall in front which you can take to enter the next room.

After entering the next room, you'll come across a moving ground that teleports you into another room. Getting past this moving ground can be tricky as it instantly captures your character if you step on it. To stop this moving ground, simply use the Arresto Momentum spell by aiming at the ground. You can highlight it beforehand by using the Revelio spell and then hit it with Arresto Momentum. You will come across another similar moving ground during this quest, and it can be stopped by using the same spells.

In the final room, you'll need to solve the second block puzzle. Unlike the first block puzzle, you must recover both blocks for this one, place them in the proper position, and use the correct spells to unlock another magical door. The purple block is located on the ledge on the left side of the room, while the fire-type orange block is located on the right-hand side of the room. Check the arrows on the image above to see their exact locations. Use Revelio to identify the location of both blocks.

We recommend recovering the fire-type block first, and to do this you need to enter through the archway on the right-hand side of the room. Stand on the pedestal in the statue's position to get teleported inside another room. This is where you'll find the Musical Map as well as the first block. Use Wingardium Leviosa to control the block, and walk up the stairs to come back to the main room.

Next, you need to bring down the purple-colored block from the top of the ledge on the left-hand side of the room. Use Accio to pull it down from the ledge, and place it on the platform with its corresponding symbol.

After placing both blocks on the respective platforms with the same symbols, use Confringo on the fire-type block, and Levioso on the purple-colored block. This will unlock another magical door in front of you.

Enter the room and you'll find stacks of Galleons lying around everywhere. You'll also find Rococo the Niffler. Gather all the Galleons, and use the Nab-Sack to rescue Rococo from this room. This room will also have a chest, make sure to have ample space in your Gear Slots to collect the item from inside.

After rescuing Rococo, you must return to Bainburgh to meet Agnes Coffey. To exit Henrietta's Hideaway, simply stand on the pedestal on the right-hand side of the chest as shown in the image above. Standing on the pedestal transports you to the room where you solved the first block puzzle. Exit Henrietta's Hideaway and fly to Agnes. After interacting with her, you'll get a choice to keep Rococo or return the Niffler. We recommend returning the magical creature to Agnes Coffey. This completes the Rescuing Rococo quest in Hogwarts Legacy.
