All Unlockable Melee Skills in Horizon Forbidden West

Within Horizon Forbidden West, Aloy has a large number of skills she can unlock throughout the six main skill trees. For players wanting to dance up close with the machines, the melee skill tree is called the Warrior. While not every skill within this tree is melee exclusive, all of the melee-specific skills are here.

All Melee Skills in the Warrior Skill Tree

Resonator Blast

The first melee skill players can unlock within the warrior tree. Resonator Blast enables Aloy to charge up her spear with energy from her previous melee attacks. Then she can unleash them with a fully charged heavy attack.

Block Breaker

Gives Aloy the ability to break her target's block with the combo R1 + R1 + R2.

Nora Warrior

Gives Aloy a combo (R1 + R1 + R1 + R2) to knock down smaller opponents and stagger larger ones.

Resonator Blast +

An advanced version of Resonator Blast, adding a final bow and arrow shot after the initial melee attack to release the energy stored within the target from afar and deal 30% more damage.

Critical Strike +

Adds 25% more to the initial damage of the Critical Strike attack.

Critical Boost

This is a special mode Aloy can enter, where for a short period of time her critical hit chance, critical hit damage, and critical strike damage will all be increased.

• Critical Hit Chance - +35%
• Critical Hit Damage - +10%
• Critical Strike Damage - +75%

Energized Duration

Another passive boost that will cause enemies to be energized for 30% longer than previously.

Power Attack +

Power Attacks, done by holding R2, deal 20% more damage.

Aerial Slash

This two-part skill is one part bow based, and one part melee based. The melee half of the skill is the Aerial Slash. With Aerial Slash, Aloy will deal more damage when jumping immediately before doing a melee attack.

Resonator Damage

A passive skill that deals 50% more damage when energizing a target.

Resonator Buildup

A passive skill that allows players to energize their spear 30% faster.

Melee Detonator

This skill is a mixture of a bow and melee attack. Aloy will fire a special explosive arrow that attaches to a target for a short period of time. If Aloy completes a melee attack against that target within the allotted time, it will detonate.

Power Attack +

Power Attacks deal 20% more damage.

Halfmoon Slash

This attack is a charged quick attack. It can be used to jump close to an enemy, break out of combos, or connect with an enemy just out of reach.

Melee Damage

Causes Aloy's light and heavy melee attacks to deal 30% more damage.

Melee Might

Attaches a power module to Aloy's spear, causing her to deal double her normal melee damage for a short period of time.

Critical Strike +

Critical Strikes deal an extra 25% damage.

Resonator Blast +

Deals 30% more damage with Resonator Blasts.

The Destroyer

A new combo (R1 + Pause + R1 + R1 + R1 + R1) of melee strikes that deals a large amount of damage.

Spinning Scythe

A powerful spin combo attack (R1 + R1 + Pause + R1 + R1) that deals a large amount of damage to all surrounding enemies.

Resonator Damage

A passive skill that causes Aloy to deal 50% more damage when energizing a target.

Energy Surge

A powerful attack that quickly energizes Aloy's spear. (R1+ R1 + R1 + Pause + R1)

Energized Duration

Energized targets from energized attacks stay energized for 30% longer.
