Immortality is an interactive film game about fictional actress Marissa Marcel. You are tasked with putting together footage from her three unreleased movies to find out her fate. As a player, you will control film clips in order to find key points of interest to unlock more footage. Players will watch footage from rehearsals, movie filming, interviews, and more to learn about Marcel and what she experienced making the three movies, Ambrosio, Minsky, and Two of Everything.

Immortality Controls

As you watch clips in Immortality, you will have to start, pause, reverse, and enter photo mode to find points of interest, such as items that stand out and faces. Here are the basic controls when watching clips in Immortality.

  • Play Clip: Flick Right Stick right (Xbox), Left click and flick right (PC)
  • Pause: Press A (Xbox) Left Click (PC)
  • Photo Mode: Press Y (Xbox), Press the eye icon (PC)
  • Control Clip Playback: Hold Right Stick left or right (Xbox), Left click and drag left or right (PC)

Once you enter photo mode, you will be able to use your cursor to find objects and faces, which will turn your cursor into an eye when hovering over. Press A (Xbox), Left click (PC) to unlock a new clip from the object.

Your main objective is to find every clip to unlock the secret of what happened to Marissa Marcel. Finding every clip can take a lot of work, but organizing and watching clips in a certain order can help you make sure you don't miss anything.

Immortality Clips

The main screen displays all clips you have unlocked and are available to view. You can scroll through the clips and click on the one you want to view. The clips can be organized by date recorded, movie placement, or even filtered to only include a certain movie. The easiest way to find clips and learn about Marissa is to watch clips in chronological order while making sure to find every object in the clip.

There is an effective trick to keeping track of what clip you are studying and how to quickly return to it after finding new ones. Go to the clip you want to study and tag it as a favorite. After finding clips, you can filter favorites to find the clip you have been studying.

There are a total of 202 clips with 76 Ambrosio clips, 69 Minsky clips, and 57 Two of Everything clips. Find all of them to unlock the Cinephile achievement and discover the mysteries of the footage.
