Best starting base locations in Lightyear Frontier

When exploring a pristine alien planet, it's very important to choose a good point for your first settlement. Therefore, we present some of the best starting base locations in Lightyear Frontier.

Lightyear Frontier's world is rich and thriving, with an abundance of resources everywhere. Choosing the starting base looks easy, but it really doesn't. It's important to find a place with as many resources as possible. The rule of thumb is to place yourself near a water source because you will need water for plants. The next rule is to build a base near a source of rare material, like Aluminum Bars or Red Crystals.

Best starting base locations in The Meadows

The Meadows is a starting area that is very rich with base resources. For the first part of the game, just make sure your place is near a water source. I put my first home base in the middle of The Meadows, near the river valley. An additional bonus is the Aluminum Bars source near the water. Following the pathway, you can even find the Red Crystals.

My other choice for the starting base in The Meadows is at the southwest, bordering the Pine Heights area. There's a small patch of a seashore with a lot of natural resources scattered around. The best thing about this location is how close it is to Pine Heights, which is a much richer area when it comes to resources.

Best starting base locations in Pine Heights

Two locations in Pine Heights are good for the starting base. The first one is in the northmost area of the map, near the beach. There's a water source, but also the sources for five materials (three of which I managed to find). The northern point has a lot of hardwood, too, which is very useful for advanced structures.

The second starting base location in Pine Heights is on the southwest part of the map. It is very rich in resources, and it's relatively close to the sea and a pond in the middle of Pine Heights. This location is also very approachable, what time is close to The Meadows.
