Lost Ark had a very successful launch, becoming one of the most played games on Steam on its first day. The data tracking website SteamDB revealed that Lost Ark is now the fifth game to reach over one million concurrent players, a feat it was able to achieve within 24-hours.
Based on the data collected by SteamDB, Lost Ark was able to surpass Amazon Games' other high-profile MMORPG, New World, in terms of an all-time concurrent peak on Steam. New World peaked with over 913 thousand concurrent players on Steam, more than a 100 thousand difference between it and Lost Ark. Lost Ark was able to also surpass Cyberpunk 2077's all-time peak of 1.05 million concurrent players.

Lost Ark currently sits as the fourth most played game on Steam, only below PUBG, Counter-Strike, and Dota 2. PUBG, which is currently the most played on Steam, had an all-time peak of over 3 million players, around three times more than Lost Ark's peak.
Despite multiple delays on launch, with multiple players not being able to access the game for long stretches, it didn't affect the game's overall performance. Lost Ark now has one of the best launches ever, but can Amazon keep up with the momentum?
