What to do with old gear in Lost Ark?

As with most MMORPGs, item management can be a real issue for players in Lost Ark. Gear can easily pile up in a player's inventory as they explore the game's sprawling world. Selling and dismantling gear is the best way to get rid of it quickly, though dismantling gear can yield far better results for players.

Dismantling old gear will give players "Junk." While this obviously doesn't sound like a great result, players can often sell the junk at a later time for more than the individual piece of gear would have. Dismantling gear also clears up inventory space until players can make it back to a merchant to sell items while holding onto gear to sell would keep the inventory slots full and cluttered.

How to dismantle gear?

The ability to dismantle gear is not available to players right away. First, they must meet Archaeologist Hadim, found in the Nevatia Ruins, and complete his attached quest. After this, players should find the option to dismantle items in their inventory.

To dismantle gear, simply right-click an item and choose the dismantle option. This will add the item to a dismantle box where the item will turn into junk and go into the player's inventory. Selling this junk to a merchant is easy to do, as there is a sell all junk button in the merchant screen.
