Next, click the broken desk (1b) to find your first puzzle. You need to place the gears to make a chain, as pictured. Or, to work it out easily, work from the top left clockwise, as each added gear will move if placed correctly. Once open, collect the Fur Cape from inside the desk. Click the ceiling (1c) and use the hammer to force it open. Select it again to open it and once more to go onto the beach you are washed up on, which looks very familiar.

There’s nothing you can do here yet, so move on to the Cave via the map. Take the Shawl (2a), then move to the Underground Oasis. Examine the waterfall (3a) for a close-up and use the hammer on the ice to gain access to some clean water.

Move forward to the Exit from the Village and select the Druid (7a), taking the Cork with a Corkscrew from his hand. Use it in your inventory to gain the Corkscrew. You can also examine the belt buckle to see that a piece is missing. Take the Broken Broom (7b), then select the gantry (7c) and click the telescope. Click the blurry image to reveal what the issue is.

Go back to the market and use the corkscrew on the door as a handle (6e), then click it again to open the door. Select the door to enter the Tavern. Look at the large barrel (8a) to get a hint for later, then click the counter (8b) for a cup-and-ball puzzle. On completion, you’ll receive a Forged Piece

Get a close-up of the top of the ladder (10e) and use the hatchet to break the board, dropping a bag of grain down to the ground. Click the bag (now at 10b) to move it onto the scales, then once more to secure it. You now have access to the top of the mill, so click the top of the stairs once more to go up.

How to find Maaron’s Bag

Open the wooden lid (11a) and take the Amulet, then get a close-up of the wooden device above it (11b) and take the red Circle. Click the back of the large cog where it meets the wall (11c) and take the Wedge, which activates the mill’s blades. Use the wedge on the cog wheel (11d), then move back to the exit from the village.

Use the amulet on the chest (7c) and take Maaron’s Bag from inside. Give it to Maaron (9a) in the field hospital, and after a cutscene, he will give you the Light of Hope. Next, select the door under the gantry at the Exit to the Village (7e), click the lock, and move through it to the Path Through the Forest.

Use the broken broom to get the Holder (12a), then use the two pieces and your shawl in your inventory to get the Broom. Click the tree on the right (12b) for a close-up and use the broom to dislodge (and collect) the Roller. Finally, use the Light of Hope on the statue (12c) to brighten the area.

How to find the five-digit code

Go back to the exit from the village and click the telescope (7c) and make a note of the image you can now see through it. Move to the ground floor of the mill and use the roller on the diagram (10d), revealing code 34715. Go to the top floor, select the device on the left (11e), click it once more, and then enter the code to open the device.

Go to the path through the forest, click the stone statue on the right twice (13a), and add the red circle to start a tile-moving puzzle. You simply need to move tiles to their correct colors, matching the background. The key is to have the final four pieces in the correct (clockwise) order before you place the third piece of the final color. Once you have, you’ll receive the Wood Dust from the top of the statue.

Select the marked snow (13b) and pick up the Needle, then select it in your inventory and keep clicking until you have made a Hook. Click the tree (13c) and use your knife to get some Glue before heading to the clearing in the forest.

Take the Rope with a Hook (15a) and reveal a puzzle, then remove the cloth (15b) to start a simple item-matching puzzle to receive the Whetstone. Take the Oil Lamp (15c), and underneath it, note the final part of the circular puzzle drawing you need. You can now complete the puzzle (15a) to open the route to the Cell (image below). Before heading down, click the rope in your inventory several times to create a Knotted Rope with a Hook

In the cell, after the cut scene, take the Torch from the wall (16a) and move back upstairs. Open the oven (15d) and light your torch inside to get a Lit Torch. Go back into the cell and use the torch to scare off the spider (16b), then click your mother for a cutscene.

Take the Holder (16c) and combine it in your inventory with the blade, then use the whetstone on it to make the Scythe. Move outside to the clearing in the forest and use the scythe on the plant (14d), then take an Egg.

Go to the Tree of Life and talk to your father, who gives you the Cage Key. Move to the boat hold and use the key on the cage (1e) to get the Leather. You now need to return to the druid village. Go into the mill and use the knotted rope to get access to the platform (10f), then click the rope for a close-up and grab the Lever before moving the weight onto the scale. This moves the sack of flour up onto the pulley system, ready to go up to the top of the mill.

Head back up to the top floor of the mill and use the lever on the left device (11e), then pull the lever to bring up the sack. While in the same close-up, take the Weights and then click the hook to attach it to the sack. Get a close-up on the opposite device (11b) and add the weights. This moves the sack over the hole (11a), so click the sack to drop it. Go close-up on the hole, use your knife on the sack to open it, then take the Empty Sack.

Back on the ground floor of the mill, use the empty sack on the shoot (10g) to attach it. Click the small wooden lever above the belt in the close-up to fill the sack once more, select the belt to untie the sack, grab the Trowel from inside the sack, then finally, use the scoop on the flour to get some Flour

Move to the market and add the flour to the bowl of water in the tent (6a), add the egg, then also add the oil and salt (both already on the table). Click the mixture to mix it, then collect the Mortar in a Bowl. While here, you can also select the shoe sole-making device (6b) and add the leather to it, along with putting the glue in the dish.

Go to the cell next and click on the hole the spider went into (16d). Add the mortar in the close-up, then use the trowel to start a simple brick placement puzzle. This can be quite frustrating but start with the piece that’s front-right and slot it in bottom-right, then add the piece that’s second from the right at the back next to it. From there, it should be straightforward. This will trigger a cut scene with your mother, after which you’ll receive a note with the code 984 on it.

Use the knife on the mummified goblin (16e), use the code to open its purse, and take the Key. Once done, click the note in your inventory once more to get the Blueprint. Head outside to the clearing and use the key to open and remove the padlock (14e) and gain access to the chest. Return once again to the druid village and add the missing part to the blueprint (9d), triggering a simple puzzle. If confusing at first, each leg can be broken down into three parts, and you need to use the spare peg to make spaces to shift the other parts around. Once you have this knowledge, it is an easy process. Once done, click the adult male leg to gain the Incomplete Prosthetic Device

Go to the tavern and use the hook on the pan lid (8c), then take the Blowtorch from inside. Go to the market and use the blowtorch on the glue in the bowl (6b), then click the bowl to add the glue to the leather. Click the leather to fold it, then the machine to press it, and click once more to get the Insole. Attach the insole to the prosthetic in your inventory, then add the nails and hammer them in to get the Prosthetic Device

Take it to the Tree of Life and attach it to your father’s leg. After a cutscene, he’ll give you Part of a Page, which you need to take to the field hospital. Add it to the book (9c) to complete the Stunberry Antidote Recipe. Go to the cell and speak to your mother, then use the knife to collect a Glowshroom (16g).

Next, go to the cave and get the Drop-tree Leaf (2b), the underground oasis to get some Berries (3b), and then to the Tree of Life. Use the bottle opener on the tree (4b) to receive some Wood Chips. Also, take the Symbol that is hidden underneath them.

In the goblin’s hut, add the symbol to the chest (15e) and click inside the chest to start a movement puzzle (see image). Once complete, take the Shelf Lock and Matches from the chest.

Go to druid village and into the market, enter the tent (6a), and add the oil to the burner before using the matches to light it. Put the leaf in the tray above the burner, then remove it to get the Dry Leaf. Head into the field hospital. Use the mushroom on the device on the table (9e), add the wood chips, berries, and dry leaf to the bowl, use the wood dust on the small green vial, click the bowl to mix the ingredients, and collect the Mortar for Heating Liquids. Select the shelves above Maaron (9f) and add the shelf lock to open them, gaining the Elixir of Wellness.

Go to the goblin’s hut and put the mortar and the elixir in the teapot (15f), then put the lid on it. Click the teapot again to pour it, then take the Tea in a Mortar. Go to the field hospital once more and use the tea on the green vial (9e), finally picking up the Medicine. Give the medicine to your father at the Tree of Life, then take him to the cell to help free your mother.

How to free you mother in Lost Lands 3 Bonus Chapter

Look at the lock to realize you won’t be able to break it. Move to the field hospital and talk to Maaron, who will give you a Tile. Take it to the market and it to the caravan (6f) to start a simple pattern-matching puzzle. Once complete, the side of the caravan drops down, starting an item-matching puzzle. On completion, you’ll receive Maaron’s Staff, which you can take back to the cell.

Use the staff on the cell door (16f) to free your mother. Head back to the boat hold, break the rest of the planks blocking your dog’s exit (1a), and you’ll complete the bonus chapter!
