Here are all attributes in New World explained and what bonuses they have.

Attributes are the lifeblood of every character build in New World. Without them, your character won't be able to use certain weapons or perform well while using them. Here you will find what every attribute in New World, what they are for, and how to use them explained.

Strength

Strength is a critical attribute to those who want to run around with heavy armor in New World. It's also essential to the following melee weapons in the game.

  • Spear
  • Hatchet
  • War Hammer
  • Great Axe
  • Sword and Shield\

As you put points into Strength, you will increase how much damage one of the weapons above does in the game. Adding points into Strength will also have the added bonus of unlocking certain perks when you reach a specific amount in the attribute. Here are all of the special perks you can unlock with Strength below.

Fourth Strength Attribute Perk200 Points+10 damage on stunned, slowed or rooted, enemies, and +10 mining speed,
Fith Strength Attribute Perk250 PointsStamina regen is faster While performing light and heavy attacks with a melee weapon, and +10 yield when mining.
Sixth Strength Attribute Perk300 PointsLight and heavy attacks with a melee weapon gain GRIT, and 25 percent chance to mine ore with a single swing,

Dexiterity

Dexterity is a must for those who wish to use light to medium armor in the game. It's also essential to Range weapons and the following melee weapons in the game.

  • Muskets
  • Bows
  • Rapier
  • Spear
  • Hatcket
  • Sword and Shleid

As you put points into Dexterity, you will increase the damage one of the weapons above does in the game. Adding points into Dexterity will also have the added bonus of unlocking certain perks that will improve how you perform with certain weapon's light and heavy attacks amount other things. Certain attribute points will also make you faster at harvesting.

You can unlock these perks when you reach a specific amount of points in the Dexterity attribute. Here are all of the special perks you can unlock with Dexterity below.

Fourth Dexterity Attribute Perk200 Points+10 backstab damage, and headshot damage, and 10 percent more skinning speed.
Fith DexterityAttribute Perk250 Points+10 percent bonus critical hit damage on stunned, slowed or rooted, enemies, and +10 yield when skinning animals.
Sixth Dexterity Attribute Perk300 PointsGuaranteed critical hit after a dodge roll (can only trigger once every 10 seconds) and ammo has a 15 percent chance of being returned.

Intellegence

Intelligence is the primary skill of all magic users in the game and those who want to harvest more plant and magic resources in the game. You will also need Intelligence to use the following weapons in the game.

  • Fire Staff
  • Ice Guantlet
  • Rapier
  • Musket

When you put points into Intelligence, like with other attributes, you will raise the amount of damage you can do with the weapons above. You will also gain power bonuses with the more points you put into Intelligence. Some of these perks will improve harvesting and your ability to cast spells. Here's the full list of bonuses below.

Sixth Intelligence Attribute Perk300 Points30 percent damage on the first hit on full health targets, and 10 percent reduction in Azoth travel cost

Focus

Knowing what focus is for in New World is easy as it only affects one weapon called the Life staff. However, it will also offer some decent perks for fishing and salvaging. Here's the full list of perks listed below.

Constitution

Unlike other attributes on this, Constitution is not for any weapons in the game. It is instead primarily for increasing your health and armor in your game. So if you are a tank, you will want to grab and put plenty of points into this skill. Constitution will also boost your logging speed and give bonuses to logging. Here are all the bonuses to Constitution below.

Sixth Constitution
