How to fix long server queue times in New World?

Looking to try and skip the lengthy queues in New World?

After New World launched on September 28th, the biggest question on everyone's minds was simple: How do I skip this server queue? Some players despaired with queues ranging into the thousands, multiple-hour waits, and just a general hoard of people trying to play the game. However, there is some bad news about the long server queues: There's no way to fix them right now.

One option to try and get around this is to make a second character on a low population world and try and jump the queue that way. Apart from this, though, there's no way to fix your long server queue times.

Long server queues are to be expected. The game topped Steam's player charts on launch, and it's one of the most exciting new MMOs on the scene. It's also the first significant MMO release in some time and has generated a crazy amount of hype.

But luckily, there is hope on the horizon! New World developers yesterday tweeted that they would be allowing server transfers for free for the next two weeks. This means it's not the end of the world if you make a character on a low-queue server right now.

Additionally, throughout the evening of September 28th, the New World team posted that they had added multiple new world servers to the game. These included additional Worlds on the NA East, NA West, and Australia servers.

Ultimately the huge queues are a good sign (sort of). This shows that New World is popular and may well have a thriving population for some time to come. Well–if they can ever make it into the game.
