How to gather resources in New World

If you want to gather any kind of resource in New World, you will need to level up what are called gathering skills in the game by using them. Gathering skills are one of the three skill trees that make up the trade skill section in the game.

These skills also govern every aspect of crafting in the game, with gathering taking the resourcing harvesting part. There are also a total of five gathering skills in the game, and each will require you to have a specialized tool in order to gather the resources the skill governs.

These are all of the skills currently in the game below:

• Tracking and Skinning (Skinning Knife)
• Harvesting (Sickle)
• Logging (Hatchet)
• Mining ( Pickaxe)
• Fishing (Fishing Pole)

The first skill, tracking, and skinning governs how good a player is able to gather leather from various animals in the game. This skill will also allow you to get other items such as eggs from chickens as well. Tracking and skinning will also allow you to farm larger animals for resources as you put more points into it.

Next, we have harvesting, and it is required to gather the various plants players can find in the game and will be very important for those who want to get into cooking and making potions.

Then we have the logging skill, and if you have not figured it out already, it's a skill that will allow you to gather various wood from different trees in New World. So if you want to gather wood, you will need to level it up by starting with the lowest level resource type you can find.  Now for all you Minecraft players who love mining, there is a skill for you called mining.

The mining skill is pretty much what you will expect, and leveling it will allow you to gather and track various kinds of metals like the other skills in the game. For the last skill, fishing, you will want to level up if you plan on fishing in the game and selling the fish you catch. it will also help you make various fishing rods you can craft in the game.
