Who is The Siren Queen in New World?

The elusive Siren Queen is one of the most well-known background characters in Amazon's new game, New World. Little is known about her other than that she is likely a strong influence (perhaps, dare we say it, the Queen) of the Withered, which are the less coordinated and seemingly less intelligent counterparts to the Corrupted.

Currently, she serves as an Elite Boss for players to fight, with limited lore for them to investigate. Characters can find some of her proclamations spread throughout the map, where she addresses her followers under her rule. In her letters, she seems to care for her patrons.

Since so little is known about her, it's hard to determine exactly what role she might play in New World in the future. However, there is speculation that she might be a direct counterpart to the mysterious red-eyed Isabella. YouTuber Ser Medieval provided further speculation about the history behind The Siren Queen, and it can be seen in the video below.

Regardless of who she was in the past, what is known about her right now is that she is using her influence over the Withered to control them on a quest to return her soul to her body. It seems she is set on defeating anyone who stands in the way of that goal.
