How to do the Slip Deke in NHL 21

NHL 21 is finally available, which means you will be hitting the ice and looking to slash by defenders and get free for a shot on the goal. There are many moves you will need to learn to make this happen, because the other players aren't going to let you get by them so easily. So, learning the moves that can be done with some finesse will increase your game, and will get your team a victory. One such move is the slip deke, and it can be utilized to get past a defender while you are skating by the boards. It's a very strong move, because you will maintain your speed, which will make you tough to stop.

To do the slip deke in NHL 21, you will first need to have the puck and be skating by the boards. Believe it or not, all you need to do now is press L1 on the PlayStation or LB on the Xbox to perform the move. Your player will then sort of put their backs to the walls and make themselves thin so you can past any defender trying to box you against it. As long as the defender isn't right on the wall, you should glide past them and maintain quite a bit of your speed. You will briefly lose control of the puck, but you will quickly regain it once the move has completed!

The best way to make this work is to stay off the board but stay close to it, which will force the defender to have to come away from them as well. You can then fake out into the open and use the slip deke once you go back towards the board to get by them. You will want to practice this to get it down, but the basic premise is pretty simple to get. You can also fake that you are going to go towards the board with this move and instead go out into the open! There's a lot of different ways you can use these moves to your advantage.
