There are eight characters in Octopath Traveler 2, which all have a Path Action during the day and night. These include various types, such as getting items, accessing blocked areas, recruiting allies, and learning information. Here is how to have each type of Path Action in your party for Octopath Traveler 2.

  • Agnea, Castti, Hikari, Partitio
  • Ochette, Osvald, Temenos, Throné

These compositions will give you access to all the different types of Path Actions in Octopath Traveler 2. It is actually easy to get these party members, as they are divided between the West and East Continents.     • Day: Scrutinize
      • Glean information from townspeople.
    • Night: Mug
      • Obtain items from townspeople by besting them in battle.

    • Day: Guide
      • Lead a townsperson around. You must be the appropriate level to succeed.
    • Night: Coerce
      • Force information out of someone by breaking them in battle.
  • Throné
    • Day: Steal
      • Steal townspeople’s belongings (with a given probability). Fail, and your reputation will suffer.
    • Night:
      • Knock people unconscious. You must be the appropriate level to succeed.
  • Ochette
    • Day: Provoke
      • Challenge townspeople to battle. Fail, and your reputation will suffer.
    • Night: Befriend
      • Take a townsperson along on your journey. You must have a specific item to befriend them.
  • Castti
    • Day: Inquire
      • Obtain information from townspeople. You must be the appropriate level to succeed.
    • Night: Soothe
      • Allay a townsperson’s pain, allowing them to sleep. You must have a specific item to soothe them.
