How to defeat Caits in Octopath Traveler 2

There are many enemies to encounter in Octopath Traveler 2. Each one has certain weaknesses that allow you to break their defense and leave them stunned. However, some enemies require different strategies, including Caits. This may leave you wondering how to hit Caits in Octopath Traveler 2.

How to beat Caits in Octopath Traveler 2

You will notice that you cannot hit Caits in Octopath Traveler 2 with physical attacks. Instead, you must use magic. However, these attacks typically do barely any damage, which means you won't be able to defeat the enemy before it runs off.

There are two solutions to this. If you have Osvald, learn the Elemental Barrage skill. This strikes multiple times, dealing more damage than a single attack. Alternatively, if you have a Medium Soulstone, this can typically defeat Caits in a single blow. Any type of magic damage will work.

It is extremely worthwhile to defeat these enemies before they run, as they provide a ton of experience and Leaves. This makes them a great way to level up and grind money. They are similar to Octopuffs in this manner, so keep an eye out for them. If you have Ochette in your party, equip her More Rare Monsters Support Skill to increase the odds of encountering them.
