In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Natures will affect a Pokémon's stats. One stat will be raised by 10%, while another will be lowered by 10%. This may not seem like a big change, but increasing a Pokémon's strongest stat and lowering its weakest stat can make it perform much better in battle and set it apart from others. All Pokémon will have a Nature by default, which you can find in the Pokémon's summary screen.
In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Vulpix and Ninetails are the Fire-type "Fox" Pokémon. These Pokémon have an interesting stat makeup. Usually, when choosing a Pokémon's Nature, players will want to find a Nature that compliments a Pokémon's strongest stat. Since Vulpix and Ninetails have a shared top stat, players have some choices regarding which Nature is best.
Best Natures
- Hasty: Speed (+), Defense (-)
- Gentle: Special Defense (+), Defense (-)
How to choose the best Nature
Vulpix and Ninetails' special defense and speed stat are tied for their strongest. Because of this, players can go with a Nature that raises either of these stats in order for the Pokémon to be more efficient in battle. Hasty will increase the Pokémon's speed at the cost of defense and Gentle will raise special defense while lowering defense.
A Pokémon's best Nature will ultimately come down to the player using it. While it is a good idea to increase a Pokémon's best stat with its Nature, players should go with a Nature that compliments their playstyle the best.
