Pokémon Legends: Arceus' reinvented gameplay system is a testament to just how far Pokémon games have come, and the game takes full advantage of the Switch's hardware. However, there is one major feature that the game doesn't tell you about. Here is how to turn on Gyro Controls in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
The game doesn't give any indication that Gyro Controls are available. Only those who have spent some time in the settings may have found an option called Motion Sensitivity. To enable Motion Controls, all you have to do is change the Motion Sensitivity setting to something other than the default, which is zero. If this setting is something between one and three, you can use Gyro Controls while playing.
By turning these controls on, players can use Motion Controls to aim Poké Balls at any wild Pokémon they encounter on their travels instead of opting for the default analog option. These controls do help to bring about a little more realism in the game, and for some more accuracy. Some players will find that this makes aiming in the game much easier. Especially for those who are experienced with using the Motion Controls that exist in other Nintendo games such as Splatoon 2.
Strangely, this setting wasn't mentioned in any of the game's trailers or in the in-game tutorials that teach you to play. Nintendo is usually pretty forward about advertising their Motion Controls.
