How to get more revives in Pokémon GO (2023)

Go on out there and REVIVE!

If you're a trainer in Pokémon GO, you'll know that having a good supply of revives is essential to progress in combat. Revives help to revive your Pokémon after they have fainted in battles such as raids, Team Go Rocket battles, and gym fights. In this guide, we'll show you how to get more revives in Pokémon GO so that you have a better chance of getting rare Pokémon like Galarian Mr. Mime.

Getting more revives in Pokémon GO

The first and most reliable source of revives is by spinning Pokéstops and Gyms. Whenever you can, spin them as they have a chance of dropping a revive. Another source of revives is by opening gifts sent by your friends. Gifts have a chance of containing revives, and you can open up to 30 gifts in a day.

Field research tasks are also a good source of revives. Tap on the binocular icon on the bottom right of the Pokémon GO home screen to access different types of field research tasks. Some of these tasks might reward you with a revive upon completion.

Raid battles are another source of revives. You can get revives in the game after defeating a raid boss. However, keep in mind that raids can be quite challenging, and it's recommended that you take part in with a group of experienced trainers. Also, it's better to participate in lower-star raids to avoid losing many Pokémon without any good rewards.

Finally, leveling up in Pokémon GO rewards you with various items, including revives. It's important to note that Pokéstops and gyms drop standard revives until you reach level 29. After reaching level 30, they start dropping max revives, which can revive and restore a Pokémon's full health.
