How to build an Engine in Raft

To build an Engine, you will need to first unlock it by researching its blueprint that is found inside the Vasagatan shipwreck; however, to find the shipwreck, you will need to find a radio tower using a receiver.

You can make the receiver using the following resources.

  • Eight Planks
  • Six Plastic
  • Two Circuit Board
  • One Hinge

After you make the receiver, you can use it to find the radio tower, which will reveal the location of the Vasagatan shipwreck in your game. When you find the wreck, you can enter from the back of the ship, and inside it, you will find the blueprints you need. Once you get the blueprints, take it back to a research table to unlock crafting an engine.

After unlocking the engine, you can then make it with the following resources

  • Six Metal Ingots
  • Six Rope
  • One Circut Board
  • 20 Planks.

Once you craft the engine, you can then place it to sail against the wind when you combine it with a steering wheel; if you don't know how to make a steering wheel, you will need the following resources.

  • 10 Scrap
  • Four Metal Ingot
  • Four Rope
  • Two Bolt
  • Two Hinge

That said, once you have both items built and place on your raft, you will be able to speed around the ocean and get to places faster; however, make sure to get plenty of either planks or biofuel to fuel the engine, as you will need either one to power to the engine.
