How to research crafting items in Raft

To research items in Raft, you will need to build a research table with 14 planks and two scrap.

Getting these materials is not hard: for the planks, all you need to do is either harvest the planks as they appear in the ocean. Or, by chopping down palm trees on islands with an axe.

If you don't know already, you can make an axe with six planks, three stones, and two ropes.

Once you get the planks, you will still need scrap. To get scrap, all you need to do is look  for barrels that will be floating about in the ocean, which will usually contain up to six items.

You can also get scrap from vacant rafts and around the reefs of certain islands in the game.

After you get both items, you can then craft the research table, and once placed, you will be able to research items by placing them inside the table.

When the item is researched, the crafting recipe of that item will become unlocked, and you will be able to craft another item via the crafting recipe.

As a side note, certain items will require you to research other items before you can research. For example, to research a barrel you will need to research a plank, scrap, and rope.
