Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – How To Unlock Challenge Mode

Follow these steps to gain access to Rift Apart's new game plus mode.

Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart offers a multitude of content for players to enjoy. Interdimensional arenas and Herculean boss battles are just several enticing features on display here. Those interested in enjoying a more difficult version of the game are sure to enjoy Challenge Mode. Unfortunately, Challenge Mode isn't initially available to new Ratchet & Clank players. PlayStation 5 owners will have to earn the right to take on this more difficult variant of the main story.

To unlock Challenge Mode, players will have to complete the main story of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart in its entirety. This means seeing the story through to its ending.

This new game plus mode offers improved versions of the base game's weapons known as Omega versions. Omega weapons can reach level 10 and can be further upgraded for improved destructive output. These weapons will come with a hefty price tag, however. Thankfully, there is a Bolt Multiplier exclusive to Challenge Mode that increases bolt yield.

Those hoping to unlock this mode quickly will be happy to hear that collectibles are not required to unlock it. No need to grab the games Spybots or Golden Bolts. Saving these activities for a Challenge Mode is entirely possible, and players won't have to repeat activities.
