In Red Dead Online, players will spend a good amount of time traveling around the map on horseback. That being said, finding the perfect mount is highly essential in this game.
Best Horses to Buy in Red Dead Online
Whether gamers prefer a horse with excellent speed, health, or staminan finding the right horse to match their playing style and budget can be challenging. This list will provide players with a quick break-down of all of the requirements needed, stats, and prices for the best horses to buy in Red Dead Online.
The Arabian horses are the only Superior Breed of horses in RDO. The Arabian Red Chestnut, the Black Arabian, and the White Arabian all have Elite rankings in handling stats, which no other horse has in the game. This breed of horses can be hard to train, but will remain loyal once broken in. Aside from their breed and handling, they do differ from each other in price and other stats.
Arabian Red Chestnut
The Arabian Red Chestnut made the list because it is a great mount for beginners and is available for players at the start of the game in Level One. The Red Chestnut does have low health and stamina stats, but its Elite handling and great speed stats are more than reasonable for the price of $250 or 10 Gold Bars.
The Black Arabian has the highest stats in the game, and is arguably the best horse in RDO, depending on the gamers playing style. The Black Arabian has all-around above average stats, and players must reach Level 70 with $1,050 or 42 Gold Bars on hand to be able to ride RDO's most superior mount.
The White Arabian
Available to unlock at Level 66, the White Arabian will cost players quite a bit more if they want to break in this beauty. With average health and stamina stats, the White Arabian has a price of $1,200 or 48 Gold Bars. Suffice to say, it's the luxurious white coat that makes this mount the most expensive.
The Mustang ranks next on the list because of the incredibly high health and stamina stats, with above average speed. The Mustang is a Multi-Class breed of horse and has a low handling stat, which is expected from these particularly wild mounts. Breaking in this mount will be a well-rewarded challenge for those who succeed. The Mustang is a fearless breed and they are priceless in combat. Players can unlock the Mustang with the Bounty Hunter's Role for the price of $500 or 20 Gold Bars.
Missouri Fox Trotters
The next best mount in the game is the Missouri Fox Trotter. These calm mounts have sturdy builds and their excellent stamina and average health stats make them great work horses. The Missouri Fox Trotters are Multi-Class horses with standard handling and are available with the Bounty Hunter's Role for the price of $1,125 or 45 Gold Bars.
The Norfolk Roadster horses have incredible speed stats, and the higher-level Roadsters are the fastest mounts in the game. With the Moonshiner Role, after reaching Role Level 20, the Roadsters are available for $950 or 38 Gold Bars. Aside from their low health and standard handling stats, their high stamina and acceleration makes these Multi-Class breeds great for traveling.
Last but most certainly not least, ranked as the most powerful mount in RDO: the Gypsy Cob. With excellent health and stamina stats, this superbly strong steed is available to players with the Naturalist Specialist Role, after reaching Role Level 20. For a price of $950 or 38 Gold Bars, these courageous mounts are a beautiful Multi-Class breed of horse. Though they lack in handling and acceleration stats, the Gypsy Cob is great horse with a strong intuition and gorgeous coats of hair.
