ASTD Demon of Emotions Abilities Tier List – Best Demon of Emotions Abilities, Ranked

Demon of Emotions is a new unit that I was instantly drawn to in All Star Tower Defense, thanks to his unique abilities that feature dragons and—fitting for his name—a group of abilities based on different types of emotions. All of the Demon of Emotions' abilities can be helpful during battle, but there are some that you'll most likely want to focus more on than others due to their strength and DPS. We have a whole tier list below to help rank each of his abilities. Take a look!

All Star Tower Defense Best Demon of Emotions Abilities, Ranked

S-Tier Demon of Emotions Abilities

Sound Dragon

Sound Dragon is Demon of Emotions' best ability, not only because of its astounding damage output but its DPS stack up and range. It may be one of the most expensive abilities to upgrade, but upgrading it even once will get you 900k damage and 100k damage per second. When fully upgraded, this ability does more than any other, reaching an astounding 1.9M damage. Plus, with such high DPS, this ability is fast and reliable, which is why it's earned its spot at the top of our list.

Anger

Anger is one of the emotion-type abilities that can easily be overlooked by the high-damaging dragon abilities. In my opinion, however, its AoE and bleed status effect make it one of the strongest contenders for damaging enemies. It can be upgraded six times, and starting with its second upgrade, it can create a split-off of Grief and Joy. In addition, its bleed damage increases significantly. When fully upgraded, Anger's base damage is 91k, but with an additional 364k bleed damage per hit. This means that even if the Anger ability hits the target just once, it can still carry some weight as the enemy traverses through the course.

Tear Dragon

The Tear Dragon is just below the Sound Dragon in terms of damage. It is one of the strongest dragon abilities, outweighing the other emotions and abilities. With just one upgrade, it can do up to 500k damage and continue further to a max upgrade of 1.4M damage. It is just under Sound Dragon with range and DPS per upgrade.

A-Tier Demon of Emotions Abilities

Lightning Dragon

The Lightning Dragon is the middle ground dragon ability for Demon of Emotions. It is at the top of A-tier because it is a hefty ability, outweighing Wind Dragon for total damage output, but still getting beat out by Tear and Sound Dragon. Lightning Dragon is capable of doing 900k damage with the max upgrade, but what makes it so great is its DPS and its range.

Wind Dragon

Wind Dragon is the weakest dragon-based ability in the game. Although it can be significantly cheaper to upgrade, its damage and DPS are still outweighed by the other dragons. However, it still is significantly more powerful than most of the emotion abilities, boasting a damage output of 800k with the max upgrade.

Hatred

The Hatred ability is one of the higher-tier emotions abilities for Demon of Emotions, allowing for a steady DPS output and not requiring much cash to make the upgrades. However, to reach the special ability and reach its full potential, you'll need the Demon of Emotions Orb. Because of this necessity, Hatred can either be very useful or not so great, which is why it fits into our lower A-tier rankings.

B-Tier Demon of Emotions Abilities

Grief

Grief is very similar to Anger because of its bleeding abilities, which makes it a useful ability to have. Just like Anger, it only needs to hit the enemy once to inflict its bleed damage and continue wracking up hits on the enemy, which is its strongest point. However, the damage levels are not quite as high as the dragon abilities or even Anger, hence its spot in B-tier.

Joy

Joy can probably be considered one of the starter emotion abilities for the Demon of Emotions. It's fairly cheap to upgrade and can provide some handy AoE damage that also slows down enemies in their tracks. This works great for a support-type ability, making particularly fast opponents slow down and receive more damage as they progress, but the damage amounts are much lower than some of his other abilities.

Pleasure

Pleasure is Demon of Emotion's lowest-damage ability, but that still doesn't make it completely useless. It is easily outweighed by his dragon and other emotions that use his Orb specials, but its attacks can stun enemies as well as work as AoE. Just like the Joy ability, this can work great as a support attack, stopping enemies in their tracks and allowing others to build up damage on it. It is a great starting point for him to grow on and is also the cheapest when it comes to upgrades.

These are Demon of Emotion's abilities ranked from what we believe to be the most useful attacks, but try them out for yourself and let us know your favorites in the comments below. Different abilities may work better for different situations, such as PVE vs. PVP, so the list can vary.
