When is the RB Battles Season 3 Finale? – RBB Championship Event delayed a second time

After four weeks of exciting head-to-head battles and challenges, the RBB Finale is finally upon us—or, is it? Originally, this event was set to conclude on December 30, 2022, but due to the busyness of the holiday season and internal development issues, it was pushed back to January 7, 2023, only a few days before its initial planned launch. Now, as January 7 has come and gone with nothing to show for it, fans are left with unanswered questions and an uncompleted event. So, when is the RB Battles Season 3 Finale? When is the RB Battles Season 3 Finale happening?

At the time of this article's publication, the Season 3 finale of Roblox Battles is expected to debut on Friday, January 13, 2023, and conclude on Saturday, January 14, 2023, as stated by RB Battles host RussoPlays, and then confirmed by YouTuber and RB Battles competitor KreekCraft. In a YouTube video posted on January 9, 2023, KreekCraft broke down and reacted to a recap video uploaded by another popular YouTuber, Sharkblox, in which the finale of RBB Season 3 was discussed. In KreekCraft's video, he states that the final RBB video (the one in which the Season 3 Champion is crowned) will be released on January 13, and the Final Battle Live Event will take place on January 14.

During the live event, players who group up and attempt to take down the final RBB Boss will have the chance to earn a few free, limited-edition items and badges, including the Crown of Courage, Golden Crown of Courage, and Hood of Heroes. When the event concludes, RB Battles will close, leaving the experience vacant until at least Season 4, if not forever.

As stated by RBB host SabrinaBrite in a YouTube Short posted on January 5, 2023, Roblox Battles Season 3 was a massive project to undertake, with numerous code rewrites and editing delays pushing it back, and while the final product is worth it in the community sense, it has nothing to offer in the sense of financial gain. Though Roblox tweeted about the Season 3 debut, and has talked highly of RBB and all three of the hosts numerous times in the past, the company made, and continues to make, little effort to help the event succeed. Besides coordinating a sponsorship with Walmart Land, Roblox offered zero financial support to Sabrina, DJ, Russo, or any of the developers, meaning it was in their hands to come up with the funding for the event's entirety ($100,000+).

Over the past few years, it's become increasingly clear that Roblox is making strides to prioritize sponsorship-related events (such as NIKELAND, Spotify Island, Vans World, and more) over community-centered ones, leaving behind popular and fan-favorite events like Egg Hunts, Roliday, and even RB Battles. Every time a sponsored event is created/added to the platform, Roblox makes sure to highlight it under its Events tab in the navigation menu. With RBB, however, this mention is nowhere to be found.

On top of that, Roblox exploiters found their way into hidden development files and were able to essentially break and manipulate RB Battles for their own benefit, causing exclusive items to be scalped at an unprecedented rate. With Roblox's acquisition of the anti-cheat software company Byfron in October 2022, creators and developers, including RBB host DJMonopoly, assumed that the use of exploits would begin to dissipate across the platform as 2022 came to a close. As can be seen from the results of RBB Season 3, this was not the case, and experiences continue to be hit hard.
