Subnautica: Below Zero Vehicles

Here's a full list of the current and future vehicles that will be in Subnautica: Below Zero. If you don't see a vehicle on this list or one that was added to the game, feel free to let us know and we will add it.

Prawn Suit

The Prawn Suit is back for another round, but this time it has a new movement ability that should make it a lot easier to get around. The Prawn Suit is also the best option for going into the deepest parts of the sea. But before you can build it, you will first need to locate all of its fragments and scan them. Once you got all of the parts scanned, you will be able to build it with the mobile vehicle bay. When it is built, you can then equip it with the following arm attachments and upgrades.

Arms List

  • Drill Arm: Enables the mining of large resource deposits.
  • Claw Arm: Can smash small rocks and be used to attack hostile creatures with quick strikes.
  • Propulsion Cannon: Industrial-strength propulsion cannon designed to fit the Alterra prawn suit.
  • Grappling Arm: Fires a grappling hook for enhanced environment traversal.
  • Torpedo Arm: A standard payload delivery system adapted to fire torpedoes.

Upgrades List

  • Jump Jet Upgrade: Powerful rear-mounted jets propel the praw suit into the air.
  • Thermal Reactor: Recharges power cells in hot areas. Doesn't stack.
  • Depth Module: Enhances safe diving depth. Does not stack.
  • Engine Efficiency Module: Increases maximum battery life, engine efficiency and decreases total power consumption. This module can also stack up to four times to provide a total of 60 percent power use reduction.
  • Hull Reinforcement: Strengthens the suit's hull and can stack four times to provide a total of 93.75 damage reduction.
  • Storage Module: Increases maximum onboard storage capacity by six and can stack up to four times to provide a total of 48 storage capacity.

Console Commands

  • spawn exosuit
  • exosuitupgrades (gives you all upgrades for the Prawn Suit)
  • exosuitarms (gives you all Prawn Suit arm options)

Seamoth

The Seamoth was the first vehicle you could get in the original Subnautica game. It's an excellent vehicle for getting around and should probably be your first vehicle to make in the game.

After you locate and scan all fragments, you will be able to both build and upgrade the Seamoth with the following upgrades.

Upgrades List

  • Seamoth Depth Module: Increases the vehicle's maximum crush depth, thus allowing the vehicle to survive greater pressure. There is also three versions of this upgrade, with the highest one providing 1700 m crush depth.
  • Storage Module: Increases maximum onboard storage capacity by six and can stack up to four times to provide a total of 48 storage capacity.
  • Hull Reinforcement: Strengthens the suit's hull and can stack four times to provide a total of 93.75 damage reduction.
  • Engine Efficiency Module: Increases maximum battery life, engine efficiency and decreases total power consumption. This module can also stack up to four times to provide a total of 60 percent power use reduction.
  • Solar Charger: Replenishes power by harnessing photonic energy (the power of the sun).
  • Perimeter Defense System: Generates a localized electrical field to discourage and repel aggressive creatures.
  • Torpedo System: This allows you to fire torpedos at stuff or creatures.
  • Sonar Module: Emits a sonic wave that reads the surrounding terrain and displays the info on the HUD.

Console Commands

  • seamothupgrades - Unlocks all of its upgrades.
  • spawn seamoth - Spawns a seamoth.

Seatruck

The SeaTruck looks to be the successor to the Seamoth. Rather than just have a vehicle that is only useful for getting around, you'll be able to attach different modules to it so you can build, sleep, grow plants, and more while you are exploring.

When you got all of the fragments, you will be able to upgrade the truck once you built it with the following upgrades and modules below.

Modules List

  • Cabin: Serves as the base of the truck and can function as a small submarine. Also can be extended with further modules on this list.
  • Aquarium Module: A module with two parts that can capture fish.
  • Docking Module: A module that can be placed on the back of the truck to allow the docking of a Prawn Suit.
  • Fabricator Module: A module that can be used to craft Sea Truck upgrades.
  • Sleeper Module: Provides the player with a bed, jukebox, and picture frame.
  • Storage Module: A small module with five storage lockers.
  • Teleportation Module: This allows the player to teleport back to the truck.

Upgrades List

  • Seatruck Afterburner: Provides a short speed boost
  • Seatruck Depth Module: Increases the vehicle's maximum crush depth, thus allowing the vehicle to survive greater pressure. There is also three versions of this upgrade, with the highest one providing 1700 m crush depth.
  • Seatruck Horsepower: Increases the speed of the truck when hauling additional modules.
  • Seatruck Perimeter Defense: Emits an electrical field around the truck to fend off predators.

Console Commands

  • Aquarium Module: spawn seatruckaquariummodule
  • Docking Module: spawn seatruckdockingmodule
  • Fabricator Module: spawn seatruckfabricatormodule
  • Storage Module: spawn seatruckstoragemodule
  • Planter Module: spawn seatruckplantermodule

Modules list

  • Snowfox Jump Module: This allows the Snowfox to jump across icy terrain.
  • Snowfox Ice Worm Attack Reduction Module: Reduces the attacks from Ice Worms.

Console Commands
