What stages do you get augments in TFT?

One of the features that increases the replay value of TFT is augments, which buff your team in a unique fashion. Augments provide game-changing advantages through offering items, trait bonuses, and even expanding your maximum team size. Augments can also help you refine your team composition, empower your carry units, and receive some extra gold. However, they only appear at certain stages in a TFT match. When do you get augments in TFT?

You get augments at Stages 2-1, 3-2, and 4-2. One of these three augment stages is likely to be replaced by a hero augment, which offers a unit with a unique buff. Each augment stage provides a choice between three augments, which are all of the same rarity. While an augment stage has the highest probability of containing silver augments, there is a chance it will offer gold or even prismatic augments.

You can reroll your list of augment choices, but only once per game. If you do not pick your augment in time, you will be assigned one of the three at random. It is best to match your augment with your desired team composition. For example, if you are building a team of Star Guardian units, but you only need one more to achieve the prismatic trait level, then it's best to choose an augment like Star Guardian Heart. This helps fill in the gaps of your team, allowing you to reach higher synergies even if you do not possess enough units for that trait bonus.
