Can you transfer saves from past-gen consoles to current-gen Consoles in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands?

It's good, but it can be better.

With the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X becoming more available and homes potentially running two generations of consoles, some players are wondering how games like Tiny Tina's Wonderlands handle save transfers. While save transfers are a thing, there are a few details to note.

Transfering saves between console generations in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands

PlayStation

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands will allow Fatebringers to transfer a save from the PS4 to PS5. However, the process cannot be reversed once transferred, and the save file will no longer be accessible on PS4.

A physical version of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands for PS4 will work on PS5 with some caveats. The PS4 Standard Edition will play on the PS5 but will not be optimized for the PS5. You can upgrade the Standard Edition to a digital PS5 copy (which is optimized) for an additional fee. This will still require the PS4 disc to be inserted into the PS5 via disc drive. The Chaotic Great Edition includes the PS5 digital copy.

Xbox

Fatebringers can play seamlessly between the Xbox One and Xbox Series X.

A physical version of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands for Xbox One will work on Xbox Series X with some caveats. The Standard Edition will play on Xbox Series X, but cannot be upgraded to the Series X version and thus, will not be optimized for it. Physical copies of the Next-Level Edition and Chaotic Great Edition will work on both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X with optimized performance for the Series X.
