For Total War: Warhammer 3, developer Creative Assembly has gone all out. Beyond just the scope and gameplay, the team has incorporated A-List voice acting into the game to give Total War: Warhammer 3 some really impressive moments. One big name they’ve used is Richard Armitage, the actor behind Thorin Oakenshield in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy.
Richard Armitage lends his voice to the Daemon Prince Be’lakor, a demonic outsider who shuns the pull of the four Chaos gods to forge his own path. The primary antagonist of the game, Be’lakor has captured the bear god Ursun, and multiple factions seek to free his prisoner.
Beyond this, the other Chaos factions seek to destroy Be’lakor and undermine his destructive ambitions. The character is not well-liked by either his Chaos “allies” or the forces of order within the game.
Richard Armitage lends his authoritative and gravelly voice to the Daemon, giving a real sense of importance to the character. It’s one thing to be told a Daemon Prince is a big deal. But when they look and sound the part, then you know you’ve got a top-class villain.
But Be’lakor isn’t the only foe you’ll have to contend with in Total War: Warhammer 3; you’ll find yourself assaulted on all sides. Whether you’re a Chaos warlord or a noble defender of Grand Cathay, the forces of Order or Chaos will be out to take you down.
